Weekend Recap: Crappy Weekend for Stanley

I've already wished you all a happy Monday, so here's the recap of last weekend's events:
  • Kris Draper's daughter went number two in the Stanley Cup. I must say, I'm shocked that in the entire history of the Cup, no winning player has come down with a terminal disease after drinking out of it. Or at least pink eye.
  • The Tigers avoided a weekend sweep at the hands of the Twins, winning Sunday afternoon's game 4-2. Justin Verlander had another strong performance on the mound, giving up only 4 hits and 2 runs in 7 innings. Matt Joyce (who has been on fire recently) and Clete Thomas each had a home run to power the Detroit offense.
  • Arron Afflalo scored 25 points on 8-10 shooting to lead the Pistons past the Clippers, 75-66, in Sunday's NBA Summer League game. There was a minor scare with Rodney Stuckey leaving the game early with an injury, but it is only a sore toe.
